GOA- III

Ab aage…

A bus was waiting for us outside the Railway Station that was supposed to take us to the resort, ‘Whispering Palms’. Sounds flashy. I would have never thought that this name would stay with me for the rest of my life. It was a one hour journey to the resort. We could feel the humidity as we reached Goa and the bus was congested too. So, the journey from the station to the resort was quite difficult. As we reached the hotel , the staff welcomed us with a Goan song and a special welcome drink. The best part about the resort was that it was just 50 feet away from the Candolim beach. We waited, as the teachers were allotting us the rooms. So I, Vishal,Lakshya,Navz(Navdeep) and Zen were in the same room . We had decided to hit the beach in an hour, so we quickly went to our room to settle down and get fresh. Our room was on the ground floor facing the garden with a small balcony and the girls’ room was on the first floor. The best thing about the room was that the toilet seat had a jet spray not toilet paper, Lakshya and I sighed. Me, Lakshya and Zen sat in the balcony and enjoyed our first fag in Goa, it was just the same as I dreamt of.
Era and Shina came to our room and we were all set to finally hit the beach. So, we left the resort through the back exit as it faced the beach. The sea was just 20 feet away, I could just see the whole sea in front of me. We immediately decided to take a dip in the sea and out of nowhere Zen takes off his shirt and reveals his abs! I was stunned and jealous too. So we enter the sea and take a dip and then stand in the water, waiting for the tough waves to hit us so we could slump in the water again. Era was apprehensive entering the water, so I held her hand and took her towards the sea and kept holding her as the waves hit us. It was a beautiful feeling. Something I had never experienced in my entire life. It was special.
Me and Zen went to get some beers and I asked for the price and the shopkeeper said Rs 35/- ; we were shocked. Got back to the beach, clicked some memorable photos. After almost two hours, we headed back to the resort and entered the swimming pool. I was a swimmer for five years when I was a kid so I thought I still had it in me and tried to show some tricks like summer salt but failed. It was around 9 pm and we decided to get ready and go for a party! After getting ready Lakshya and I headed towards Era and Shina’s room .I knocked the door and Era opened the door, I saw some other Era right there. She was looking the best she could ever look, wearing a classy, black dress. Elegance at its best! We waited for the girls as they were putting up make up. Zen and Navs also got ready and they joined us at the dinner table, the food was just delicious with all the international dishes. As soon as we got over with the dinner, we started discussing about which club to go. After discussing for 15-20 minutes, lastly we decided to go to ‘Mambos’ ,one of the best discs in Goa. We hired a cab and in 30 minutes we reached Mambos.
There were many discs in that same lane. There was this weird thing I experienced in Goa, when you go for clubbing, the bouncers outside the club check if you are in a proper attire, they scan you from head to toe. You can’t enter the club with slippers or in shorts. As we were heading towards the main door which lead us  to the club, we could hear the  loud music . Finally, we entered the club and the two things my eyes hooked to were the stunning and striking beauties and the breathtaking bar. We stepped on the dance floor and started grooving to the beats. Zen, me and Lakshya headed to the bar and ordered shots of tequila and cheers to Goa! We had quite a lot of beers and tequila inside the club.
After a while, we needed some air so we sat in the open lounge of Mambos outside the club, I had a lot to drink, seriously a lot. I was totally wasted still I got whiskey for all of us from the bar walking in a strange way. I asked Lakshya and Zen for bottoms up, me and Zen slurped Jack Daniels in one go but Lakshya did not do so I took his glass and had his share. The next thing I remember is I am in the hotel room with a heavy hangover with my shirt changed. I see Navs sitting in front of me and  ask him what happened last night, he gives me a bold look and doesn’t tell me anything. I rush towards Era’s room with uneasiness, she opens the door and again I ask her the same question ‘WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?????!!!!’. She laughs  and asks me to come in and sit.

GOA- II

Ab aage...

It was a 36 hour journey and we guys were all set to make full of it. Around 3 am, I asked Zen about the treasure he had brought. As he opened his bag, a bright light struck out of the back and the treasure included small bottles of whiskey, vodka and rum.We looked at the bottles and our faces lit up. We asked for small glasses from the chaiwala passing by. Only me, Zen and Lakshya were the drinkers of the group. So we poured liquor in three glasses. Our stock was a little less so we thought of not adding water, so that the  liquor could play its magic effectively. Era and Shina looked at us with weird expressions as we started to gulp in the shots, bottoms up! Time progressed… In the next two hours, we slurped all the tiny bottles, talking and chilling when we realized it was 5 am already, so we decided to doze off.
I was sleeping at the top berth, so there was no problem of adjusting with anyone. Everyone was awake by 9, tea and food vendors started passing by literally screaming in the ear. We decided to order some food and bought something to drink. For the first few times it tasted like shit but gradually we got used to its horrible taste. Just for passing time in the train, we had brought cards and also borrowed uno from Vishal , who was in the same compartment as ours which by the way he never got back because we got so obsessed with that game. 2-3 hours passed, Navdeep got all irritated as he didn’t win a single game and seeing him all irritated we planned not to let him win even further. So it was five of us vs Navdeep. This was the best part of our journey. While we were playing and enjoying ourselves Zen decided to show us an Uno trick and we were all amazed!! Later found out how big chutiya he made us!
I was sitting with Era,constantly telling her why  was she sitting with me, instead there should have been a hot girlfriend of mine. When Zen and I went for a fag, he asked me why were Era and I not dating, I replied we are just CLOSE FRIENDS nothing else.
Later in the evening , we were enjoying our magi cuppamania, clicking photographs, making fun of each other when suddenly our train stopped in the middle of nowhere. We got down and tried to figure out what the problem was but instead ended up clicking photographs on the railway track. It was me, Navdeep, Lakshya and Harman.  After an hour or so the train honked, we got in and the journey continued. It was around 8 pm ,the weather and scenery outside was so beautiful, a treat for the eyes. I, personally, never saw something like that in my life, it was just magnificent. We clashed for the window seat and luckily it was me who got to sit by the window the maximum times .
At around 1 am Vishal came over to invite us to join him and his friends who were telling each other horror stories. Shina and Zen refused and claimed that they were sleepy which by the way was a lie. So me, Era,Navdeep and Lakshya went and heard all the childish stories they had, but Lakshya indulged in those stories and started cooking his own so as to impress a hot girl sitting there. We were crossing Gujarat when we saw a live Garba concert going on. That’s the fun of travelling by train. Later,we guys came back and saw Zen and Shina chatting in the dark even though they said they wanted to sleep. Something was fishy and we pulled their leg on this.
After some time we guys snoozed thinking we would be reaching Goa the next day. We woke up around 11 am and there were still 2-3 hours left for us to reach Goa. And not to forget Harman was our regular visitor who used to come with a sole motive of making fun of Era, and I used to join him in doing so.  Finally, we reached Goa Railway Station.

GOA- I

Here I am after 7 months with my 7th blog. Excited! Life has TOTALLY changed since then.
In august 2013, me and my pals saw this GOA trip poster in the canteen and we were really excited about it. Somehow, everyone convinced their parents for the trip and we deposited the money by September. It was a 6 day trip. We were supposed to leave for Goa on 13th October night. It was the first week of October and it was getting harder and harder to wait for THE day.
Finally after a long wait, the day came, it was 13th morning and I started packing when I realised I did not have half of the things I needed for the trip. I called Lakshya and he did not have certain things either. So we planned to go for shopping, bought shoes, clothes and other things which we thought we would use in Goa but which never got used ;)
We had to reach college by 11:30 pm and from there we had to go to the Railway Station by bus. Mamu and mum dropped me at the college gate where mum waited for the bus to leave, it was a little embarrassing but cute. As I was heading towards the bus I saw all the happy faces, everyone was damn excited and teachers asked us to board the bus and to everyone's surprise boys and girls were asked to sit in separate buses. Seriously?! I thought we were to follow this in train too and it was really disappointing. So the bus started and everyone shouted 'Jo Bole So Nihal Sat Sri Akal'!!
It was a 20 minute drive to the Railway Station . We were allotted seat numbers and now not to my surprise boys and girls had to sit in different compartments! Everyone was taken down.
I kept my luggage under the seat allotted to me, sat down and noticed that none of my friends were near. So after a while, thought of a plan, executed my strategy and at last after 15 minutes, me, Era, Shina, Navdeep and Lakshya were sitting together. We were the people with high hopes in our eyes to nail Goa! We had another friend Zen who was going to the trip unofficially because he got late for registering himself for the official trip. But he got his personal ticket and was in the same train as ours 5-6 compartments away, waiting to join us as soon as we reached Ambala. The train started, we were leaving Chandigarh with high desires, anticipation and optimism.
After an hour we reached Ambala and it was time for Zen to join us. I was standing on the gate of my compartment to guide him by waving like Shahrukh and he was running towards me like Kajol. As he reached, we saw each other, felt that moment of achievement. Finally, we six were together in one compartment , each one of us having a unique personality. Goa was going to be special for each one of us and we knew that.
